I see a ragged girl with a with dark eyes. I also see the cardboard shack she probably lives in. I think author wanted to show what it was like during the Great Depression. The moment she wanted to capture was a ragged girl that was mostly likely starving infront of her home. I think the lack of color is a good thing, it darkens her eyes so she comes a cross as angry and a little bit of mysteries. The mood given off is determined which was the girl's face looks like. What catches my eye are the dark eyes. It reveals the living conditions of the Great Depression. I catches my eye because of how real it looks. I chose this picture because of how real it look and the way in which photo was taken.
